Endorsement for Judge Travis Kitchens

As a former State Representative for District 19, which included parts of East Texas such as Polk, San Jacinto, and Trinity Counties, I had the privilege of serving the hardworking families and communities in this region for over a decade. During my time in the Texas House, I always prioritized principles of fairness, integrity, and equal justice under the law—values that are essential in our courts.

That is why I wholeheartedly endorse Judge Travis Kitchens for re-election as Judge of the 258th Judicial District Court.

Judge Kitchens brings decades of real-world experience to the bench: as a prosecutor, defense attorney, civil litigator, and now as a seasoned district judge. His extensive background ensures that every person who appears in his courtroom—whether a victim, law enforcement officer, or accused—receives fair and impartial treatment. He understands that courtrooms should be free from politics or favoritism, focusing instead on dispensing appropriate justice with respect and courtesy.

In our rural East Texas communities, we need judges who are principled, proven, and dedicated to public service. Judge Kitchens has demonstrated that commitment time and again, making positive impacts on families, seniors, and veterans across Polk, San Jacinto, and Trinity Counties.
